Seriously, my wife and i took it out of the box, attached the handle, plugged it up to charge....and voila, it MOWs. My yard is less than 1800 SF so i can mow it twice (North/South then East/West) to make sure everything is trimmed. The one drawback is that it doesnt have the suction power of a gas mower so you have to make an extra run to cut some of the longer blades. Our old Sear gas mower lasted over ten years of my own neglect but it had rusted through and then wouldn't run any longer. Unfortunately it was at the end of the mowing season. I didn't want to spend this musch on a mower but it was worth it. I haven't really noticed any of the problems others noted. The instruction book is fairly clear. We use it 7-10 times a day and I have never had the battery go dead. Plug it in overnight and use it in the morning for a 12 hour day. It's great! The other thing I like about it: if any hair gets caught it in it, it immediately stops spinning. I think that is because the RPM's aren't as high as dremels that you use for sanding wood, metal, etc. It is perfect for pet use. ...more
